“The broadest, and maybe the most meaningful definition of volunteering: Doing more than you have to because you want to, in a cause you consider good. ”
~ Ivan Scheier
At Nukkad Pathshala we believe that every child deserves to be educated and empowered. We aim to provide equitable learning opportunities to children in rural areas. To achieve this aim, we are conducting a volunteer drive on 13th November at S.I.E.S College of Arts, Science and Commerce to make learning aid kits for the students at our centers.
We have many learning activities that go beyond the textbooks and push the boundaries of traditional teaching methods. The volunteers will make activities that include creative ways to learn phonics, carry forward addition, multiplication tables, tenses, verbs, parts of speech, etc. These kits will then be sent to our students in Tamil Nadu.
With tremendous support and response from our followers on our social media and the NSS of SIES College of Arts, Science, and Commerce, who have registered to be a part of this volunteer drive, we have over 100 people who will be involved in this drive.
To give fresh talent a chance and to provide a visual treat to the audience for all their hard work, we have arranged for musical performances to keep the spirits up and motivate the audience.
This is the 1st drive that Nukkad Pathshala is conducting and we are thrilled to be sharing this part of our journey with you. You can find out more about what happened at our volunteer drive in the next few blogs wherein we will be covering the whole event and giving you more details about the same.
